Drawings and model. Abandoned project.
Lobby is an installation created at the invitation of Delta Studio, an exhibition space installed in a former textile factory in Roubaix, northern France. The orthonormal construction is made of simple wooden boards, which unfold and occupy the entire available volume, dividing it into 25 cells or loges. Circular seats are placed on the lower planks. A colored curtain crosses the center diagonally, and some pegs are placed on the perimeter. The public can leave their clothes there for the duration of a performance or a reading. Lobby is a waiting space, the exhibition is experienced as a time out. The visitors settle there in front of each other, in a fragmented and distanced space.
