Totem and tattoo, 2014
A modern art exhibition for children.
Five acoustic fabric tents, wooden panel floor and furniture, flashlights, light projectors, audio guide.

In collaboration with Pierre Senges (text), Sébastien Roux (sound design), Yannick Fouassier (lighting), Fanette Mellier (typography). Sponsorship: Texaa

Commissioned by the Centre Pompidou in 2014, the Totem and Tattoo exhibition aimed to introduce children to modern art in an engaging and interactive way. Featuring the imaginary world of the Pupiyopacs tribe - whose leader is an avid collector - the exhibition took place in five colorful tents, reminiscent of a tiny village, in a layout inspired by an Alexander Calder carpet design. Plunged into darkness, the children, equipped with a flashlight and an audio guide, wandered - guided by the voice of the village chief - from one tent to the other to discover a selection of works from the museum (Victor Brauner, Max Ernst, Alexander Calder, Joan Miro, Man Ray).

Project realised with the collaboration of Sébastien Roux (sound fiction), Pierre Senges (written fiction), Yannick Fouassier (lighting), Fanette Mellier (typography).
